Airtel, Google reunite to roll out RCS messaging in India

Bharti Airtel has partnered with Google to offer Rich Communication Services (RCS) messaging, a move that brings all major Indian telcos on board. This collaboration, following Airtel's previous concerns about spam, will see messages charged at Rs 0.11 with an 80:20 revenue share. The pact aims to bolster competition against platforms like WhatsApp in the business messaging sector.
