Dr. Sudhir Kumar, senior neurologist at Apollo Hospitals, highlighted the most effective exercises for lowering blood pressure. Among various options—like aerobic exercises, yoga, and resistance training—isometric exercises, including wall sits, planks, and handgrip exercises, were found to have the strongest impact, reducing systolic BP by 8–10 mmHg and diastolic BP by 5–7 mmHg. He recommends performing four sets of two-minute holds, three times a week, while also incorporating other exercise types for overall health.
