FIFA's Ethics Committee has banned ex-Guyana Football Federation General Secretary, Ian Alves, for five years for sexual harassment. Alves was fined 20,000 Swiss francs for breaching the FIFA Code of Ethics. The decision was based on victim statements and evidence gathered during the investigation. Alves resigned in 2024.
