Badminton World Federation (BWF) plans to introduce synthetic shuttlecocks at top-tier tournaments, due to the soaring costs and declining availability of geese feathers. The approved synthetic shuttles are VICTOR’s New Carbon Sonic Max (NCS-MAX-12) and Yonex’s Crosswind 70. Coaches and academies have raised concerns about the change, citing issues with aerodynamics and unpredictability.
