Government doing a 'very thorough study' of non-scheduled flight operators, uncontrolled airfields: Civil Aviation Minister K Rammohan Naidu

The government is thoroughly studying flight operations by non-scheduled operators and uncontrolled airfields. This comes after a fatal LearJet 45 crash that killed Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar and four others. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation has initiated a special safety audit of non-scheduled operators. The ministry is also looking at boosting airlines with smaller operations.
