India braces for extreme heat, Health Ministry asks states to activate stroke units

In the light of the Meteorological Department’s prediction of heatwave conditions in large part of the country, the Health Ministry has directed the states to ensure operationalisation of dedicated heat stroke management units at all health facilities and adequate preparedness of ambulance services.
