On the first anniversary of the Pahalgam terror attack 2025, Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to the 26 victims and reaffirmed Indias zero-tolerance stance against terrorism, stating the nation “will never bow to any form of terror.” The attack, carried out by The Resistance Front linked to Lashkar-e-Taiba, targeted tourists in Jammu and Kashmir based on religion, triggering nationwide outrage and a strong counter-terror response. In the aftermath, the Indian Army launched Operation Mahadev, successfully neutralising the perpetrators after an extensive 93-day search, while Operation Sindoor targeted terror infrastructure across the border in a calibrated military response.
