India sets an ambitious goal to secure 10% of worldwide 6G patents through the Bharat 6G Alliance. Union Telecom Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia announced this target, emphasizing India's shift from follower to leader in telecom technology. The Bharat 6G Alliance has established partnerships with about 10 global networks across the US, Korea, Europe, and Africa, focusing on seven specialized technology streams. The initiative aims to contribute significantly to global 6G standards, with progress reviewed quarterly at the ministerial level.
