Indian Railways Producing High-Technology LHB Coaches, Designed To Improve Safety & Enhance Riding Comfort

Indian Railways has achieved an 18% increase in LHB coach production, manufacturing over 4,224 hi-tech coaches up to November 2025 compared to 3,590 last year. Factories in Chennai, Raebareli, and Kapurthala contributed significantly. LHB coaches, known for enhanced safety, comfort, and higher speeds, reflect India’s push for modernized, domestic rail manufacturing under Atmanirbhar Bharat.
