Kerala is set to be declared the first "extreme poverty-free state" in India, having uplifted over 64,000 families through its Extreme Poverty Eradication Project (EPEP). This initiative, spearheaded by the Local Self Government Department, addresses critical distress factors like food, income, health, education, and shelter, ensuring no one is left behind in the state's development.
