Medical Education Minister Hasan Mushrif has directed officials to take urgent steps to bring down the mortality rate in government hospitals across Maharashtra. Taking serious note of the increasing number of deaths at St. George’s Hospital in Mumbai, the minister convened an emergency meeting on Wednesday to review the situation and initiate corrective measures.
