Mythology used as a tool to distort history, says Veeramani

“India is facing a significant threat from systematic distortion of history through mythological narratives,” said K. Veeramani, president of the Dravidar Kazhagam. Addressing a State-level conference, titled ‘Redeeming India’s history from distortions’, at Lady Doak College here, he said while science was typically used to disprove myths, Hindutva organisations and fringe elements were attempting to use scientific language to defend them.
