Nepal's House of Representatives unanimously elect DP Aryal as house speaker

Rastriya Swatantra Party Vice President Dol Prasad Aryal has been elected unopposed as the House Speaker. The announcement was made during a parliamentary meeting on Sunday. Aryal's candidacy was supported by party leaders. He becomes the 10th Speaker of the lower house and the first non-communist in 18 years. Aryal has a background in labor, tourism, and business.
