New fund allows RWAs to propose, run urban projects with local bodies

The Union government has approved a Rs 1-lakh crore Urban Challenge Fund to support cities as growth hubs, promote creative redevelopment, and improve water and sanitation. Resident Welfare Associations can collaborate with local bodies to propose projects and secure funding, with private sector participation encouraged.
