A new review published in Critical Reviews in Food Science and Nutrition, suggests that mushrooms may support heart, metabolic and immune health without major lifestyle changes. After analysing 22 human studies, researchers found consistent reductions in triglycerides and slight improvements in blood glucose and blood pressure. Some trials also showed increased IgA levels. While no harmful effects were reported, experts say more large scale, long term research is needed to confirm these benefits.
