Published on: May 23, 2026, 3:36 a.m. | Source: The Tribune

A myopia awareness and vision screening camp was organised at the school with the objective of promoting eye health and ensuring the early detection of vision-related problems among students. The camp was conducted by experienced ophthalmologists from Jerma Wellness Ltd., who carried out comprehensive eye examinations for the students. During the screening, students were examined for myopia (short-sightedness), vision clarity, eye coordination and other common eye-related concerns. The medical experts also educated students about the increasing prevalence of myopia among schoolchildren and emphasised the importance of regular eye check-ups, balanced screen time, proper lighting while studying and healthy visual habits. The school authorities appreciated the initiative and highlighted the significance of preventive healthcare programmes in educational institutions. Students were also provided with screening reports for further consultation by their parents.
