Only one Indian institute in global top 100 in THE Subject Rankings 2026

The Times Higher Education Subject Rankings 2026 are out, and India has just one institute in the global top 100 across 11 subjects -- IISc Benagluru, will Rank 96 in Computer Science category. The results highlight concerns around research output, global competitiveness, and subject-specific academic strength among Indian universities.
