Pan masala manufacturers need registration under health and security cess law from Feb 1

Pan masala makers must register for a new health and national security cess by February 1, 2026. Separate registrations are needed for each factory. Manufacturers must declare machine details and pay cess monthly. Failure to comply attracts penalties. CCTV systems are also mandatory. This new cess adds to existing GST, maintaining the total tax at 88 percent.
