Sacred Heart Chandigarh observes Labour Day

In a heartfelt tribute to the dignity of labour, Umeed – The Interact Club of Sacred Heart Senior Secondary School, Chandigarh, commemorated Labour Day at Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 26, Chandigarh. The initiative paid homage to the spirit of International Workers’ Day, celebrated across more than 80 countries, recognising the invaluable contributions of workers and the significance of labour movements and workers’ rights. The students presented a vibrant cultural programme that included poetic rendition, a graceful dance recital, and a humorous skit, each thoughtfully curated to express appreciation and respect for the support staff. The performances struck an emotional chord, blending entertainment with a sincere message of gratitude. As a token of appreciation, the members of the Interact Club also presented small gifts to the support staff, acknowledging their tireless efforts and indispensable role in the smooth functioning of the institution. Deeply touched by the gesture, the support staff expressed their heartfelt gratitude and shared that the celebration made them feel truly valued and special.
