Samsung Heavy Industries Enters Indian Shipbuilding Market Through Gujarat Partnership

Samsung Heavy Industries has partnered with Swan Defense and Heavy Industries (SDHI) in Gujarat to enter the Indian shipbuilding sector. SDHI, India’s largest shipyard, will serve as a hub for Samsung’s expansion into maritime logistics. The collaboration supports India’s plan to become a top-five global shipbuilding nation by 2047, backed by government incentives and a projected 6.4% industry growth through 2030.
