SCs, STs three times more backward than general castes: Telangana survey findings

Detailed findings of the Telangana caste survey show that 95% of families in Telangana marry within their castes. Out of 242 castes in Telangana, the most backward were communities among SCs, STs, or BC Muslims. Among the most prosperous castes are Reddys, Komatis, OC Christians, Brahmins, Kammas, Velamas, Rajus, Jains and Kapus.
