Before becoming Bollywoods biggest superstar, Shah Rukh Khan achieved an unexpected academic milestone — he cleared the IIT entrance exam. In a 2000 BBC interview with Karan Thapar, SRK shared how his mother, who wanted him to pursue science, challenged him to attempt the exam before allowing him to switch to Economics. After passing it, she encouraged him to follow his passion. Raised in a liberal household, Khan spoke about the freedom his parents gave him in academics and faith.
