SIO Submits Pre-Budget Push For 20% Education Spend, Central University, And Urdu-Medium Revival

Ahead of Maharashtra’s 2026–27 budget, the Student Islamic Organisation of India urged the government to allocate 20% of spending to education with focus on Urdu-medium schools and student support. The group called for infrastructure upgrades, scholarships and a Central University, saying improved funding and policy measures are needed to address educational disparities and inclusion gaps.
