Speaker releases biodiversity strategy and action plan

Speaker A.N. Shamseer formally released the revised Kerala State Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plan and presented the annual Biodiversity Awards instituted by the Kerala State Biodiversity Board (KSBB) on Tuesday. In his address, the Speaker stressed the need for science-backed strategies to counter climate change and biodiversity loss. “Scientific studies and region-specific action plans are essential to address the increasing environmental challenges including human-wildlife conflicts,” he said.
