Starbucks sells 60% stake in China business in $4 billion deal with Boyu

Starbucks is partnering with Chinese firm Boyu Capital to expand its presence in China. Boyu Capital will acquire a majority stake in Starbucks' China retail operations. This collaboration aims to boost Starbucks' growth, especially in smaller cities. The deal is expected to be finalized in the second quarter of Starbucks' 2026 fiscal year.
