Rejecting the notion of Middle East, Tom Barrack, the US Ambassador to Turkey, has said that the region is a cluster of tribes and villages with no real concept of nation-states. He said it would be an illusion to think that 27 countries with over 100 ethnic groups would ever have an alignment.
