Visually Impaired Mumbai Athlete Conquers Mount Everest Base Camp

A 29-year-old visually impaired Mumbai resident, Ajay Lalwani, completed the Everest Base Camp trek in Nepal between April 18 and May 1, navigating high-altitude Himalayan conditions. A BMC employee and Arts student, he has also undertaken major cycling expeditions, including 7,500 km and 3,800 km rides, and continues training in multiple sports while seeking support for a future Everest climb.
