India is boosting its defence manufacturing capabilities. The nation now produces 65% of its defence hardware domestically, with a goal to reach 100%. This significant shift is transforming the sector. New production lines for LCA Tejas Mk1A and HTT40 have been inaugurated. India is also targeting increased defence manufacturing and exports by 2029.
