Maharashtra Governor CP Radhakrishnan has been named as the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) candidate for the upcoming vice-presidential election. Radhakrishnan earlier served two terms as Coimbatore MP and was also president of the Tamil Nadu BJP. The post of vice president became vacant after Jagdeep Dhankhar resigned on July 21, citing health reasons
