
Who was La Ganesan? Nagaland governor, who joined RSS at 5, passes away

Nagaland Governor and esteemed Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader, La. Ganesan, passed away at the age of 80 in a private hospital in Chennai following a fall at his residence. Born in Thanjavur in 1945, Ganesan joined the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) at the young age of five. Throughout his distinguished career, he held various significant organizational posts within the RSS and BJP, including Tamil Nadu party president, national secretary, and national vice president. Ganesan also served as Governor of Manipur, with additional charge of West Bengal, before his appointment as Nagaland Governor. Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to him as a devout nationalist who dedicated his life to service and nation-building.
