Actor Isha Koppikar shared that she begins her morning with warm water mixed with turmeric, pepper, and sometimes cinnamon, adding that she also puts cinnamon or even ghee in her coffee for potential blood sugar benefits. Commenting on this routine, consultant dietitian Garima Goyal said warm spice-based drinks in the morning may help stimulate digestion, reduce bloating, support metabolism and improve gut health due to their antioxidant and digestive properties. However, she emphasised that such practices work best when combined with healthy lifestyle habits like proper sleep, hydration, balanced meals and regular physical activity rather than being relied on alone for long-term health benefits.
